We're Dogs for Good. We help people build connections with dogs that can make everyday life possible — in so many ways.
By unlocking the boundless possibilities of the bond we share with dogs, and the positive change these connections can bring about for families, communities and society as a whole.
Right now, millions of people in the UK are finding the world around them to be inaccessible or unsupportive of their needs. For many people, including those affected by disability, dementia, autism or mental ill health, life is increasingly difficult — and often isolating.
At a time when demand for health and social care is soaring, not everyone can get the support that’s right for them. Support that enables them to face each day with growing confidence, independence and a stronger sense of belonging. The kind of support that makes them feel more positive about themselves and their future.
At Dogs for Good, we tailor our support to each person or group by first understanding their needs and goals. Our aim is always the same: to help people get the most from their connection with a dog.
Our Family Dog workshops help families build stronger bonds with their own pet dog. Through practical guidance and expert advice, we show parents and carers how to use positive, reward-based techniques to create calm, confident interactions that can make a real difference to family life.
Find out moreIn partnership with local services, our community dogs and handlers work alongside people in schools, care homes and community settings. Together, they help individuals build confidence, achieve goals and experience the many benefits of connecting with a dog - often in ways that feel simple, natural and profoundly life-enhancing.
Find out moreOur assistance dogs are trained to provide both practical and emotional support, helping people better access the world around them and live fuller, more independent lives. Each partnership is carefully matched and supported over time, ensuring that both person and dog thrive together.
Find out moreIt takes a dedicated team to make what we do possible — from our volunteers and colleagues, to our leadership team. Together, we share a commitment to making a difference every day.
